Hello, I’m Katherine Stanglin. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), trained Brainspotting® therapist, certified childbirth educator, and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor Emeritus. Much of my professional career has been focused on providing birth support services to aid families as they prepare for and experience pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting. These experiences are what propelled me into mental health care, and they continues to inform my practice as a therapist.
My focus now is to provide mental health care for individuals and couples experiencing difficulties surrounding conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenting and relationship challenges, as well as other life challenges that may come up.
I am trained in Brainspotting®, a modality for trauma processing, and I frequently utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique Tapping (EFT Tapping), as well as some components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
